Travel Blog

Hi Y’all!  I can’t believe that I actually have a blog!  I’ve been wanting to do this for years and am finally taking the plunge into the social media arena. Today I chose to launch my blog because it’s my 51st birthday and it seemed an appropriate time.

Why a Blog?

So, why have I started a blog?  The simple answer is that I have traveled by plane, train and automobile and have hiked, swam, camped and driven all over this great country.  I have seen many wonderful and unexpected things along the way. One day I just thought, why not?  Since I get to travel and do the things that I like and visit the people that are important to me, why not share those adventures and travels with others?

Maybe something I write or share will get someone else to explore a place that they didn’t even know existed.  Or, maybe something I write will help another person figure out how to go about planning their next trip.  Wouldn’t that be something?!  Then again, maybe only my family and friends will read my blog and that will be okay too.

Content of Blog

The content of my blog will focus primarily on the United States. Many bloggers travel to foreign lands and share exotic stories.  I am not that person.  Instead, my emphasis will be experiences right here in the good old U.S.A.

There are so many great places to see here and I haven’t seen the half of it. But that’s not to say that I won’t ever visit a foreign country in the future. For right now though, I am having fun exploring the United States in all of its nooks and crannies.

Travel

I often travel with my husband, whom I’ve been married to for 30 years, and Scout the Beagle during the summer months. We travel by vehicle and are usually pulling our camper behind us. The rest of the year I tend to fly and take shorter trips.

Scout the Beagle

I have dedicated a page on this website to Scout the Beagle. She is just the cutest and I couldn’t imagine not including her. You can find her page by clicking here.

Schedule of Blog

I plan to release a new post each Tuesday. I will not only share my travel videos and photos, but will also include other topics that capture my attention. One never knows what they may be as I can become obsessed with the weirdest things.  As I proceed with this website and blog, I will strive to be a positive light in a negative world.  I am challenging myself to be positive always and spread happiness on my website. One must choose to be happy each and every day.

Thank you so much Linda! There will probably be a post about Kentucky and Keeneland at some point. I am hoping to get out there in April when the horses are running.

I just stumbled upon your blog and am thoroughly enjoying it. I’m going to Creede Colorado this July. I love to travel but do not get to as often as you yet due to working and finances. I intend to blog about it when I do! I currently have a blog but so far its mostly about my family history which is my passion. Nobody would probably be interested but me and my family. lol Its titled “Postcards from the Past” TereWills.blogspot.com
